चुनाव अधिकारियों ने मुंबई दक्षिण लोकसभा क्षेत्र में अगले सप्ताह रैली करने की मंजूरी राज ठाकरे की पार्टी महाराष्ट्र नवनिर्माण सेना (मनसे) को दे दी है. अधिकारियों ने कथित तौर पर इससे पहले रैली को अनुमति देने से इनकार कर दिया था. मुंबई शहर जिला के चुनाव कार्यालय ने रविवार को कहा कि उसने सभी उम्मीदवारों को चुनाव प्रचार की अनुमति देने के लिए एकल खिड़की निस्तारण प्रणाली गठित की है. कार्यालय ने एक बयान में कहा, ‘‘चुनावी बैठक करने की अनुमति एक तय प्रक्रिया का पालन करने के बाद दी जाती है. यह सुनिश्चित किया जाता है कि किसी के साथ भी अन्याय नहीं हो. मनसे को भी तय प्रक्रिया के तहत ही मंजूरी दी गयी है.”
मुंबई दक्षिण लोकसभा सीट से शिवसेना के मौजूदा सांसद अरविंद सावंत और कांग्रेस के मिलिंद देवड़ा उम्मीदवार हैं. इस सीट पर मनसे का उम्मीदवार नहीं है लेकिन राज ठाकरे राज्य भर में रैलियां कर लोगों से भाजपा के खिलाफ मतदान करने की अपील कर रहे हैं. बता दें, इससे पहले भी राज ठाकरे महाराष्ट्र में चुनावी रैलियां करके बीजेपी व पीएम मोदी के खिलाफ मतदान न करने की अपील कर चुके हैं.
महाराष्ट्र नवनिर्माण सेना (मनसे) के अध्यक्ष राज ठाकरे ने प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी पर तीखा हमला बोलते हुए कहा कि ‘प्रधान सेवक’ शब्द सबसे पहले देश के प्रथम प्रधानमंत्री जवाहरलाल नेहरू ने दिया था.उन्होंने कहा कि नई दिल्ली के तीन मूर्ति भवन में नेहरू मेमोरियल म्यूजियम में एक पट्टिका लगी हुई है, जिसपर पंडित नेहरू के हवाले से लिखा है : “इस देश की जनता हमें प्रधानमंत्री ना कहे, प्रथम सेवक कहे.”
